BORDER LIVING
A documentary directed by Ronit Iffergan and shot before the attack on October 7th. A couple in crisis, raising two young children, leaves the pressures of city life in central Israel and relocates to Kibbutz Kfar Aza on the Gaza border. Hoping that tax benefits and a new beginning will ease their struggles, they set out to rebuild their relationship and restore love to their family. The film presents an intimate and unflinching portrait of a family caught between the serenity and sense of belonging that kibbutz life offers, and the moments of profound fear under the shadow of rocket fire from Gaza. It is a moving exploration of the personal, social, and parental toll of living on the frontline — a price that resonates far beyond this family’s story.
